The 20/20 Experience

The 20/20 experience by Justin Timberlake (JT) best described in my view as evolution as he has
clearly come of age, both in years and in music.

I recall reading a review once, where JT was condemned for not being true to his style as the new album was a mix of pop, soul and some jazz under-notes.

After this review, I got to a store, 'grabbed my copy' and over a bottle of wine, I listened to beautiful music, I particularly liked the fact that some of the tracks were long, I feel they had to, in order to capture the essence of the rhythm, just like any neo-soul groove or an adaptation of it.

I have always believed a good album should not be all about the tracks but also the perfect arrangement, I give it to this album, the tracks were lined up good.

My favourites however are Strawberry Bubble Gum, That Girl and Dress on, the beats are good, a nice blend of instruments, also, the vocal breaks gave me time to savour the juiciness of synchronized sounds of music, sounds that exclude voices.

I look forward to the promised release of the Vol. 2 in November, hopefully it will be as good as the first, my recommendation to JT will be, keep Timbaland to production only, neo soul twist and a voice like Timbo's don't blend, it distracts.

You should listen to the album if you haven't.
